The Routemaster was introduced onto the London streets in 1956 soon becoming much loved with the charm of its half cab design and hop on hop off open rear platform. The big red bus with its smiley face stirs emotion and fond memories to many who step on board.

After more than 40 faithful years service and having travelled more than a million miles around the famous London streets the Routemaster gracefully retired.
